Where is Cripple River ?
The Gold Prospectors Association of America operates
The Cripple River Mining Camp near Nome Alaska.
The camp is 13 miles West of the town of Nome Alaska.
All Participants are picked up at the Nome Airport by our large 4 x 4 trucks.
From there you travel toward town about a half mile
before turning toward the beach for about an hours ride up the beach.
About a mile from camp we ford the Penny river.
(usually not over the hood on the trucks)
Nome is the Finish Line for the Idtirod Dog Sled Race every March.
